4th of July: Celebrate Safely

Hey, all you Busy Women! Courtney and I want to wish you a very happy and safe 4th of July! However, I'd also like to remind you how quickly things can go awry when it comes to fireworks. This is my neighbor's shed. It stored a lot of important inventory for their small business, as well as family momentos and cherished items.  The photo was taken by the local Fire Department.  As you can see, it had a bad day. This was the cause of some others in our neighborhood shooting off illegal fireworks. I can't tell you how scary it was to look outside and see part of your neighborhood on fire. I'm sure some of you have witnessed or been through something like this. It made me realize how easily this could've been one of our homes...or my home. So last night, while our neighborhood rang out with the booms of mortars and ariel fireworks and my dog cowered under the couch because of it, the  fiancĂ©  and I went around checking smoke detectors, shutting do
